ANYWAY
i was researching for history assignment thing, and i chose my topic on the Tienanmen square massacre thing!!! and turns out my mum and a group of friends had been there on the night :O she even has photos :O
me: but wasn't it scary, and it was at night?
mum: well not really. you get there onto the street and no-one felt scared anymore. we wanted to fight for freedom and fight for our fellow students
me: wait, so did you see the soldiers and army tanks and people getting shot?
mum: no. we never reached the square, we headed back. all you could hear was shouting and ambulance sirens everywhere. and the next morning, a blanket of smoke from the fires covered the city..
me: :O FREAKY.
mum: yeah so the following year, i came to australia on a student visa. but the australian government decided to let our bunch of students from china stay because of that event.
me: OH MY GOD THIS IS SO INTERESTING. I AM SO DOING THIS TOPIC.
that one guy, brave enough to stand in front of four army tanks. so inspirational.
